Maritza Alba is an accomplished artist, muralist, and interior decorator. She studied art and interior design at the school of La Casa Del Arte Institute in Colombia.
Her painting has been her natural form of expression since childhood. Her ability to capture details and vibrant colors with beauty is always evident in her work.
As a muralist, she has helped the Kitchener and Waterloo community with her artwork in many nursing homes that treat Alzheimer disease and dementia patients. Some of the murals are larger than 30 ft; they inspire memories, emotions, and stories, transporting residents back to a happier time in their lives. Her work in the community has been recognized by local newspapers and magazines.
She is a current Supporting Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
