Tea and Tales is a flagship program from the Coalition of Muslim Women of KW (CMW). It provides culturally safe platforms for Muslim women to share their narratives and interact with people. Tea and Tales is a culture café where participants get to engage in heart-to-heart conversations with diverse Muslim women from all over the world – over traditional tea and snacks. The aim is to break down perpetual misperceptions and stereotypes about Muslim women and help develop a more meaningful understanding between communities. Participants can visit each CMW hostess’ table and enjoy authentic lived stories from a range of cultures from India, Sudan, Somalia, Jordan, Pakistan, Palestine, Guatemala, Iran, Afghanistan, Turkey, Lebanon and more.
