WEFT Fest

Remember the Quilt & Fibre Arts Festival? With permission, we have recreated it as: WEFT Fest (the Woolwich Expressions in Fibre Traditions Festival). Join us from March 24, 2023 to April 2, 2023 across the region and in St Jacobs Village for a fun calendar of workshops, vendor’s market, fashion show and sale, and our Juried Fibre Art Show & Auction.

Visit WEFTFest.ca for full festival details, updates, and more.

At this stage, we are looking for artists for various events and teacup donations (see below).

Get Involved in WEFT

Submit your work to the WEFT Fibre Art Show & Auction, which will open on March 24, 2023 and close on April 2, 2023. All fibre mediums will be considered and will support both artists and Three Sisters Cultural Centre.

Show off your quilting expertise at one of our festival locations. Quilts will be on display for the duration of the festival. To submit, upload images of the entire quilt and a detail shot with description of the quilt and creators to a Google Drive folder or Dropbox. Please label it “Quilt Submission – Your Name” and share with info@threesisterscentre.ca

Vendors’ Market

Join us for our Vendors’ Market on March 27th or 28th at the Timber Barn in St Jacobs Village. Preference will be given to those selling supplies for fibre artists.

One Day ($100); Both Days ($175); Early Bird Price ends January 26th with successful vendors contacted the day after.

This is a show dedicated to Felting and will be displayed at Carolyn J. Parks Studio & Gallery at 9 Cedar St W St. Jacobs starting on Saturday April 1, 2023 and Sunday, April 2, 10am – 4pm both days.

Submission deadline for this show is February 24.

Join us for our Guild Show on March 30th, 31st or April 1st at St. Jacobs Mennonite Church. It’s the perfect opportunity to showcase your work and drive memberships.

Booths include a table and two chairs for FREE! Applications to hold a spot close on January 27th, 2023.

Lead one of our four workshops. We ask that workshops cater to a type of fibre art (knitting, weaving, felting, etc.). Dates will be flexible throughout the week of WEFT.

Are you well-versed in quilting and comfortable speaking to a crowd? Do you have a large following who will be excited to see your work? Apply for one of our Speaker Series slots.

Applications close February 1st, 2023. These are paid engagements. Successful speakers will be contacted February 2nd, 2023.

We are always accepting donations for the Tea House being held at Three Sisters Cultural Centre. Feel free to drop off your tea cups at 1370 King Street North during our open hours.
