With Sparkles wrapped up and the new year approaching, we are full steam ahead on preparing for our WEFT Fest. With permission from the organizers of the Quilt & Fibre Arts Festival, we are bringing back the beloved week of fibre arts to St. Jacobs.
WEFT will run from March 23, 2023 to April 2, 2023 and host several events. As we gear up, we have opened applications for all of our events – join us as a vendor, artist, or volunteer at one or more of our events!
We are also partnering up with local hotels and restaurants to offer packages and promotions to help visitors support our local community in as many ways as possible.
While we may have a strong vision for this festival, we can’t do it without the support of you; our artists, and our patrons.
Some details we confirmed this week included our venues for each event and the application processes for all the events. We’re happy to have Stella Collective’s Timber Barn and Cellar 52 involved in several events, as well as Carolyn Parks’ Studio and the St. Jacobs Mennonite Church! Keeping the venues within walking distance has been a huge consideration so patrons can land in one spot and enjoy all WEFT has to offer without the worry of wayfinding throughout the day.
